Larkin Cycles Dreamer Frame
Handmade by Darren Larkin! A sweet versatile ride for paved miles, cyclocrossin’ with a big ol’ tire, and light touring. Includes a White Industries headset. From Darren:
“The genesis of the Dreamer frame was born out of a desire to make a frame that satisfied the most important things a bike should be; capable, comfortable and fun! It’s got big time tire clearance, mounts for a bunch of cool bags and accessories, and a charming ride quality that makes racking up miles a breeze.
A great bike for fast, long day rides, or short slow tours. It is a cyclocross bike with mountain bike tires so you can go more places, and has some mounts so you can carry the gear to go further and be out all day, maybe a night or two.
The fit of the Dreamer is generally a little more upright and relaxed than an otherwise similarly sized road bike.
All frames are a selection of heat treated main tubing all chosen to be on the light side. A standard 1-1/8” threadless unicrown fork is included. Frames and forks are finished with powder coat and a corrosion resistant primer, with complimenting logos.
Tire clearance, based around 650bx 48mm tires with fenders, can clear up to 650b x 2.25” Chainring clearance is good for at least a compact double, or 1x 40t.
Braze-ons support fenders, front and rear bag support racks, 3x cage mounts on top and bottom of down tube, standard water bottle mount on seat tube, mid-fork eyelets for a variety of racks, and ports for routing dynamo wiring through the fork leg.
Flat mount brakes and through axle frame ends are the default configuration on this bike.”
